Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant across the Fern Academy Trust. However, in the first instance you would be based at Wellington Primary School. Wellington Primary is a small, vibrant school seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team. This is a rewarding and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with children and being part of a supportive school community.
The successful candidate will:
- Have appropriate qualifications, including good GCSE passes or equivalent in Math and English
- Be flexible and resilient
- Be able to work as part of a team and under the direction of the class teacher, Head of School and Headteacher.
- Have good inter-personal skills, communication skills and the ability to relate well with our children, staff and parents
- Be able to use their initiative
- Have the ability to work with children of all abilities including SEN
- Be first aid trained or have willingness to undertake first aid training
- Be committed to helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Provide targeted support in class to individuals and small groups
- Supervise children during lunchtimes, ensuring pupils are safe, happy and engaged
- Supervise and assist our after-school club team to deliver a fun, activity-focussed provision
