St. David’s is seeking to appoint an HLTA – Assistant SENDCo to support our SENCo in ensuring the effective provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities within the service.
The purpose of the role is to further develop the support and provision for students at St. David’s. This role will involve working with both individual students and small groups both inside and outside of their normal lessons. This work will also help to improve students’ personal well-being and self-esteem.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the transition process to St. David’s for students, completing The Boxall Profile on their arrival to the setting and then revisiting these assessments at regular intervals. They will work closely with the SENDCo to ensure that the special educational needs of students are met, running any identified interventions to support students in their learning as well as supporting the SENDCo in gathering necessary evidence for EHCP applications.
